The Canon AT and AE 1 cameras were revolutionary cameras. They took the old style Canon, like the FT-b, and brought it into modern times, with a smaller, lighter weight frame, and computer control. The AE 1 offered computer control. The AT 1, did not, it was a basic ‘manual’ camera. For this reason, the AT-1 is my favorite.
It is a simple, pure camera. Very little to get in the way, and well made. The finder is bright, and the onboard light meter is obvious and easy to use.
In my experience using them, they don’t seem to have any issues outside of light seals failing due to age. Once resealed, they seem to work great. A+ camera.
