When I got the Sony receiver and CD player for my birthday, my Dad gave me his old speakers, a pair of fishers.

To me, they sounded great, and were huge.

But right before he gave them to me, he took them into circuit city, and got them refurbished. Because, when he bought them, he had purchased a lifetime warranty on them. So as they blew, which they did again years after I got them, we’d take them in, and they’d put the replacement speaker in.

But as they didn’t make these drivers anymore, we’d get a different type of speaker.

When my tweeter decided to go, they replaced it with a Vifa(!).
