In the early 2000s, this was the thing to have. 24 channels of very decent i/o, with 24 channel recording. And it functioned much like a tape deck. You’d plug a computer monitor into it, and it would show a display of the recorder. No ability to mix anything or add plug ins, just a recorder. A very stable recorder, in a time when Macs were still throwing black and white ‘bomb’ error messages during lockup on OS9.

This thing ran on BeOS, and had some interesting networking capabilites.

Overall, a very decent sounding recorder.
