Make / Model: Milwauke 2551-20 12v Impact Driver
Year: 2020s
There are two main types of ‘Impact’ power tools that folks usually use.
One is a ‘Impact Wrench’, that is usually the air-gun type thing used in automotive shops or industrial assembly, and provides heavy amounts of torque. The second type, is an ‘Impact Driver’, that is usually used for things you MIGHT use a drill to do, like putting in screws. It’s main focus is still torque, but just a lower amount.
However, this thing, can do both. Via it’s selectable torque settings, You can pull the lug nuts off your car, then put a screw into a board. For the heavy torque stuff, just make sure you have a 3ma or larger battery, it makes a huge difference.
And to top it off, it’s 12v, so it’s small, and lightweight.
For working on cars, this thing will change your life. Just using it on low torque setting to remove all the 10 and 12mm bolts one may encounter in a repair will save your wrists, massively. And then when the stuck stuff is encountered, it can undo those as well.
I love this thing.
