I don’t like this stuff. It sounds weird.

And I didn’t really notice it till I had been using it for a while.

I suspect it has more to do with the star-quad aspect, than the actual wire.

Star-quad is good for noise rejection, so it’s probably better for location cables and that kind of thing were you can’t solve issues other ways, but for installed work, or work in a controlled enviroment, I avoid it now.
