Good
Great
The studio I interned and worked at in the 2000s, had this as the main analog tape recorder.
These things are standards: well built, servicable, not a studer, but not a Tascam. A solid recorder. So MANY amazing records were made on these.
Don’t really have much to say about it. It was enough of a tool to give you what you gave it.
And it can sound amazing, or not that great, depending on the tape you use, and if you set it up properly. Unlike digital, you have to pay attention to gain staging with these things, and plan accordingly.
