This is a tube ‘limiter’, and the predecessor to the 1176.
Supposedly, this thing is great on bass.
For me though, it was an extra kick drum compressor, if I didn’t really need much to happen.
It’s slow. It’s tube. But it’s not that amazing, to me.

I’ve heard many folks rave about it, but for me, i’d rather have the 1176 or even a DBX 160a.
