'SG'

This started life as a Epiphone SG 'Special', the most inexpensive of all SG models.
It features a very lightweight body slightly shaped like an actual SG, and a bolt on neck.
However, when I found this guitar, the day of the 500$Fine reunion show, for $50, used, at Sam Ash, it played wonderfully so I bought it. They even sold me 'coverage' on it, reducing the price lower to make the total cost, with coverage, $50. And threw in a case.

I promptly took it home, sanded off the finish with a radial sander, removed the neck pickup, and set the toggle switch to send the signal to ground when switched, creating a 'mute' switch.

I played this guitar for the next year and a half, being the guitar on both my 'Pathfinder' and 'Anarchist At The Museum' recordings.

At some point, I ended up swapping its horrible tuners for grovers, putting a new Tusq nut on it, and swapping it's pickup for a Dimarzio Super Distortion.
